I'm a small business owner of two, now embarking on my third. A mother of two sons and two precious grandsons. I started my entrepreneur journey years ago, well before 2005nwhen I lived in New Orleans where i was born and raised. But social media wasn't how it is now, so back then you had to know somebody that know somebody to get any good information or do a lot of research, but if you don't know where to start you were still clueless. Nonetheless I dove in with a partnership in a thrift store and also did other independent endeavors such as crafts items, doing hair and more. But after moving to Texas, eventually in 2014 after countless friends would ask me to make certain items and kept asking why I haven't started my own business, I finally took a leap and went for it. One year got my taxes and purchased about $1800 in equipment and went from there. Then in 2017, there was an accident and had to have surgery on my dominant hand and well, that stalled me for a good while. But since a kid I've always made things like lip gloss, mix and play in perfumes and make up and did hair so my next endeavor was a no brainer. I got into the business of beauty and personal care also because I was always intrigued by the products, I used on myself and my family's body. So boom! there was the beginning of my second business. Again another passion as a kid was to write poems,stories,music, plays, etc. So now this is where my third business comes in. As you see everything I'm doing now I've always did so none of this is new only the business aspect of it. *fun fact* I even use to aspire to be a rapper lol had notebook after notebook of lyrics. wish I could read some of them right now that would be funny to see what the younger me was talking about then. Then for either of the two businesses marketing and digital products was something that I would outsource, until I made myself knowledgeable on many things. So I decided to help others and make things a bit easy and attainable. And will also give you more freedom over your life while making a living. I know how important this is.
